Zinc primer is a durable industrial primer based on a tough medium oil alkyd resin and Zinc Phosphate pigment. It is the anti-corrosive nature of Zinc Phosphate pigment which makes this primer widely used in various applications in industry to prevent corrosion of iron and steel .

Zinc primer is used as an anti-corrosive primer for iron and steel as well as on weathered Galvanised Iron. If required to be used on NEW Galvanised Iron the galvanized iron surface must be cleaned with Galvanised Iron Cleaner to remove the fine film of oxide which negatively affects adhesion of any coating.
